Quote Of The Week - Sting Like A Bee!

Posted by admin On August - 24 - 2009

Muhammad Ali

Elegance is not a crime, to say the least. Who would have ever thought that one of the greatest fighters of all time would also have a brilliant talent for words? I like to believe that all of us in the industry have ‘grace’ to provide services with a friendly smile. On the other hand, when it comes down to business deals and management you must sting like a bee if you want things done, in certain cases.

The one word that comes to mind is – diplomacy. If you practice this, then things really will turn out for the best. So before you decide to make a move, just remember, if you do it with diplomacy you will be as graceful as the butterfly, but not without the attitude of a ‘bee.’

Hatel Bhakta | Mood: Feeling like a butterfly

As you walk up to a mirror you start seeing a reflection. Another face stares back. It’s not the face that you are used to seeing. This one is different and rather gentle in physique. You continue to stare at the soft reflection of what appears to be of someone whom you can trust and value. There is a sense of stillness in this individual. You finally make the courage to question who it is you are seeing in your reflection, only to realize that it is you. Yes, this is how the world sees you. It isn’t in anyway the same way that you had envisioned yourself. Somehow you are more attractive than you first thought. You can see things you never saw within yourself, such as character, value, and a sense of self. You are everything you make yourself out to be.

You continue to stare at the reflection and take a few steps back. The reflection changes. You see a rather aggressive character with a lost smile. You start to consider the moments when you become more aggressive and realize that you too float like a butterfly, and sting like a bee. The only difference is, that you make it work for you.

Quote Of The Week - Amused!

Posted by admin On July - 29 - 2009

amusement
If we were to just take the moment to stop and smell the roses life would be a little easier, don’t you think? I have always been fond of reading and dance. It does not require anything of you except that you give it your attention and that you also have fun while taking part in these activities.

If you think about it reading can keep your brain sharp and allow you to use your imagination. Dance is comparable to a exercise, which in turn can make you a healthier individual. I find that reading is a great way to relax as well as reflection. Dance is a great way to workout, you get to train your body for endurance and maintain balance.

So this week give reading or dance a chance and reap the benefits. I do and it feels great!

Hatel Bhakta | Mood: Light hearted ☺

Today I am amused that my Oh-So-Talented ‘Partner In Crime’ choose this quote as it directly correlates with her personality.

I am amused that I own over 90 books in my library and I have only read 1 of them, but I subscribe to 273 blogs and read them religiously.

I am amused that last night I learned to salsa dance (the Mexicali way) and sang mariachi without knowing the words.

What are you amused by?

Quote Of The Week - Dreams Realized!

Posted by admin On July - 24 - 2009

dream realized
As with anything you may want in life you need to be committed. I say this loosely – because if you cannot accomplish what you set out to do for yourself then it is not worth doing it at all. I don’t mean that it strictly applies to your career. This applies to you in all aspects of your life.

When I decide I want to pursue a creative goal I make sure that I create an action plan and I find ways to ensure that I complete it. If you just put a little bit of motivation into your goals then you will reap the rewards. You will be one step closer to realizing your potential. This in turn will bring you closer to achieving your dreams.

Hatel Bhakta | Mood: Enlightened

I dare you to dispel every ounce of energy and achieve the impossible. Achieve greatness through the means of committing yourself to your actions.

  • Commit so deeply that you see nothing but results
  • Commit as if there is no other dream
  • Commit so that failure is not the end result
  • Commit knowing that you will achieve
  • Commit so that everyday is an opportunity to move closer to your dream
  • Commit so that you don’t feel the need to take a break
  • Commit to yourself

Give it all you’ve got – because you have one chance to achieve your dream. That chance stops when you give up.

Quote Of The Week - Success and Value

Posted by admin On July - 13 - 2009

success and value
Society has been consistent in dictating what success means for the masses. We are so ready to praise people for what is deemed as an accolade but not for the attributes of that person who achieved it. Einstein was quite the wise man – a man of value will go farther in life than a man who is just deemed as one of success!

I have always been fortunate to have been surrounded by people who led their lives with character and taught me that its essential to become a woman that is valued which, in turn breeds success. I can say that the people who I believe are of value and a success are individuals that have made a difference in this world. Let’s take for example, Mother Theresa, or even Albert Einstein himself. Both of these individuals were of ultimate value to the world. Are they a success story? Absolutely.

Success is measured by your values as well as what you can bring to this world. I believe that when you do good and share it with others this will make your mark in this world. It could be something small or breaking headlines.

Sometimes I think that we forget as humans what life is all about. In marketing, it is all about what value you can bring to the table. We call that talent. If you can use your talent towards a greater good we all benefit.

Think about it - food for thought.

Hatel Bhakta | Mood: Inspired

Is today going to be another day of routine and right answers?
Or
Would you rather today be one of novelty and nuances?

The truth is, no matter what is going on around you the choice is yours.
Success awaits those that choose to continuously embrace change. Success awaits those who are willing to work hard and I don’t just mean by working extraordinary hours. Truth is the number of hours you work is not really considered hard work. Hard work can only be measured by what has been accomplished. Hard work produces tangible ideas that are spawned through a concept.

So it is time to look at the world differently. Bring value by creating a success out of yourself first. Success is what you choose it to be. Big or small it is your choice to become successful. Value is what you give back with the success that comes with it.

Quote Of The Week - Believing

Posted by admin On May - 18 - 2009

Quote of the week - believing

Maxwell is definitely quite the wise man. As far as education is concerned, everyone has the experience of that one teacher that pushed them to their highest potential. I can attest to that and believe that it is true. Sometimes we get so caught up with life that we forget our own true potential for success.

A company that invests time to train and motivate their employees truly succeeds in today’s market. It is almost a sense of entrepreneurial training so that your employees can take ownership of their responsibilities. What I believe is that if companies continue to innovate and empower their employees then everyone will benefit.

Those who are fortunate to have a great mentor in their career are going to find that they will have someone to really standby and help them to succeed. I have been one of those few fortunate individuals, not to say that it is not impossible you just have to make sure to find the right one for you. It sounds cliché but you will have varying degrees of mentor’s in your life.

I hope that all of today’s many large corporations embrace mentoring to the degree of motivating employees to his/her highest potential without any bureaucracy or pre-conceived notions. I only can push for such a program because it works. If we give people a chance you would be surprised how far they can really reach their goals.

Hatel Bhakta | Mood: Aspiring to make a difference

The clock strikes 3:00 and a 10 year old boy runs quickly to the park. He shuffles up the ladder and down the slide, back up the ladder and down the fireman’s pole. He stops and glances at the monkey bars. He wonders to himself, “Can I make it across?”

He approaches and looks at sixteen metal poles stretching across the park. His breath becomes slow and dry. He lifts his body in position and makes his first leap while his hands twist and burn on the metal bar. He moves for the next bar only to find that he had lost his grip. Down he goes into the sand. The boy finds his mother glancing at him. She smiles at her son and nods her head. The boy tries again. The second attempt he made it farther but fell midway. “Surely I can make it farther on my third try” thinks the boy. He makes his final attempt by leaping again and falls off the first bar again. The boy becomes angry and runs towards his mother. He feels like a failure for not making any progress on the monkey bar.

The mother sits the boy down next to her. She said “You can do anything you have ever dreamed of doing whether it is small or large. You can try again tomorrow but don’t ever give up. You must always work hard if you wish to make it across. You must not be upset with yourself when you fail. Failing sometimes is the only way to succeed. I believe in you.”

Based on a true story.
